Bob Evans grew up in a small town in rural southeastern Ohio and, even as a young boy, always had a passion for fishing. Bob’s father, Bob Evans, Sr., founded a successful restaurant chain in 1948 but Bob decided to follow his own dream and moved to Montana in 1990 to explore Big Sky Country.
Bob earned his Real Estate License in 1992, Broker’s license in 1995, and has added the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) desiganations. After working in a couple of large, franchised real estate offices, decided to establish The Bob Evans Real Estate Company in 2004. His vision was to provide a level of enhanced real estate services that would set the company apart from the “average” company in Southwest Montana, which often has dozens of licensees on it’s staff. The philosophy of Quality versus Quantity is the very foundation that The Bob Evans Real Estate Company is built upon!

Christopher McLay is a REALTOR© for Bob Evans Real Estate Company. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Urban/Area Development with a minor in Marketing. After graduating in 2002, Chris was eager to apply his skills in marketing strategy and media planning, urban planning and smart growth, site analysis, and sales. Chris obtained employment at The Yellowstone Club in Big Sky Montana, an exclusive ski/golf development. After seeing this major development come to life, Chris decided to venture further into Real Estate and attended the Connole-Morton School of Real Estate. Gaining the REALTOR© designation, Chris came to Bob Evans Real Estate bringing a strong work ethic and the understanding that the Real Estate business is about integrity, reliability, and exceeding the client's expectations.
Chris is truly enamored with Montana. The mere sight of huge snowcapped peaks will raise his pulse. He is an avid skier whose knowledge of the area's ski resorts is second nature. In addition, no mountain is unskiable once he and friends strap on their back country touring gear. From the Tobacco Roots to the Bear Tooth Pass, you may find Chris making fresh tracks in the pristine Montana powder. During the summer in beautiful Montana, Chris can be caught fly fishing our blue ribbon rivers for that elusive 20+ inch trout. His desire to explore the endless natural bounty of this state does not stop on the beaten path. He and friends load up their hiking packs with fly fishing gear and make treks to back county waters across Montana and Yellowstone National Park where they toss flies to unsuspecting rainbows, browns, brooks, and grayling.
